SUNRISE, FL – (July 15, 2016) –The Bank of America Charitable Foundation announced Arc Broward as a recipient of their 2016 Workforce Development and Education grant. Arc Broward will use the funds ($10,000) to support initiatives in financial education and job skills training, both of which help our community thrive. Funds from this grant will also be used to fund scholarships for Arc Broward’s Entry Level Culinary Arts Certificate program.
The grant is part of a more than $525,000 collective donation to support workforce development and education in South Florida.
Arc Broward is a not-for-profit human services organization dedicated to providing services to children and adults with developmental disabilities and other life challenges.
For years, Bank of America has invested in South Florida’s workforce development and education infrastructure, helping individuals and families build better money habits and find pathways out of poverty. In addition, the grant provides small businesses with technical assistance and support to help them thrive. This year alone in Broward County, the grants will impact 18,449 individuals.
