Class Description: In this class the students will discuss the analysis of challenging behavior with an emphasis on techniques and tools used to gather data toward achieving an understanding of the function or meaning of an individual's challenging behavior. Describe and discuss the purpose of a behavioral analysis. This class will emphasize that there is a function to challenging behavior, and for challenging behavior to persist over time, it must be meeting a need for the individual. Students will investigate how to best assist a person with career planning, will look at the role of assessment in career development.
